Sculpture

"Sculptures are drawings you fall over in the dark" (Al Hirschfield).

All my sculptures are one-off pieces, using stoneware clay, and oxides, glazes, underglazes and decoupage for decoration. Like my collages, I love using texture in the sculptures, carving patterns and intricate details and letting the oxides and glazes run where they will, creating different effects.

The sculptures all measure approx 30-40 cm high (but email me for exact dimensions).

Recently I've become fascinated by marine life - the weird and wonderful creatures from the depths of the ocean.

An article in London Potters magazine, July-August 2025, about my making process
